FAQ's
Q. Why do we at SNAANA suggest using the product within 2 months of opening the pack?
Why opt for products with extended shelf life when, with regular use, they can be consumed within a month or two? Frequent opening exposes the product to oxidation, and when a bottle or jar is partially used and left unused for months, the empty space fills with oxygen, potentially causing the product to oxidize over time.
In earlier times, even staples like grains, pulses, oils, and spices were stored in large quantities but only taken out in portions to avoid frequently opening granaries. Similarly, products that are regularly opened, especially those with wide mouths, are more prone to oxidation. If a brand doesn't clearly mention it, there’s a chance preservatives are added to stabilize the product for long-term use.
So, when choosing a 100% natural product, keep this in mind and make an informed decision.
Q. Why does SNAANA baby cream soften in the summer and harden in the winter?
It’s because SNAANA baby cream is 100% free from chemicals and preservatives, containing only shea butter, jojoba oil, and lavender essential oil. Since it has no artificial additives, the cream behaves just like its natural ingredients. Shea butter, for instance, melts in warmer weather and becomes harder in colder temperatures. So it’s natural for SNAANA cream to soften or harden with the changing seasons.
On one hand, we seek 100% pure ingredients, but on the other, we often expect creams to maintain the same consistency year-round. This is why many commercial creams contain emulsifiers, chemicals, and preservatives to stay soft and whipped, even though they’re marketed as “natural.”
So, when you choose a 100% natural cream from SNAANA, keep in mind that it will adjust with the seasons, but your skin will thrive with this natural balance.
Q. Why do SNAANA products do not come with a very long shelf life?
A longer shelf life may seem convenient, but it usually means that more preservatives have been added to maintain the product's stability over time. These often include substances like parabens, artificial stabilizers, and other synthetic chemicals. While natural preservatives, such as those derived from rosemary or vitamin E, are sometimes used, even they undergo chemical processing before being effective as preservatives. As a 100% clean brand, we just don’t use chemicals and preservatives at all, resulting in products with a distinct aroma, texture, and consistency.
Whether it's skincare or food, remember that a longer shelf life often signals the presence of added preservatives—so choose wisely!
